Why is my card payment not being completed?
To ensure security in payments, our payment gateway has activated the most secure filters to prevent fraud. Below, we provide the most frequent errors and how to solve them.
First of all, it's important to highlight that only cards with the double authentication security system 3DS/ PSD2/ SCA will be able to complete the payment on our website. This means that, following European regulations, to ensure that only the card owner makes the payment, the issuing bank will request double authentication (from your bank's app, SMS to your mobile, etc.) to complete the online payment.
If you do not have to perform this double authentication when making online payments normally, then your card will not process the payment on our website. In this case, try to make the payment using Apple Pay or PayPal.
Payments with Spanish cards
Spanish cards are equipped with 3DS/ PSD2/SCA so if your payment errors out using a Spanish card, the error is due to other reasons.
You have made several attempts/purchases on our website and now it gives you an error
In addition to the 3DS filter, we have other security filters active to prevent mass purchases. Therefore, wait at least 24 hours for the security parameters to reset and you will be able to buy on our website again.
The payment screen does not load
If the payment or payment confirmation screen takes too long to load, it may be due to a low Internet connection. Check with your bank that no charge has been made on our behalf (Clubtickets or Only Tickets SL) and try again when you have an optimal Internet signal.
Payments with international cards
The most common error with international cards is that they do not pass the 3DS/ PSD2/ SCA filter of our website since it is not mandatory to have it active outside of Spain. In Spain and increasingly in other countries, this system is automatically implemented to ensure the security of merchants and users.
You can activate this feature by speaking with your bank or use the alternative of Apple Pay (usually works in most cases) and PayPal (works in 99% of payments).
Error codes and solution
- 0101 Expired card
- 0102 Card in temporary exception or under suspicion of fraud. Contact your bank to find out the reason and try another purchase after 24 hours.
- 0104 Merchant with "secure holder" and holder without secure purchase key. The double authentication (SMS, bank app, etc.) could not be completed, try another card or PayPal.
- 0106 PIN attempts exceeded. The card has been blocked, contact your bank to unlock it.
- 0125 Ineffective card. Try another card.
- 0129 Incorrect security code (CVV2/CVC2)
- 0180 Card alien to the service. The card type is not valid (some prepaid cards, virtual cards, JCB or AMEX, for example)
- 0184 Error in the authentication of the holder. The double authentication (SMS, bank app, etc.) could not be completed, try another card or PayPal.
- 0190 Issuer denial without specifying reason. Wait 24 hours and try again.
- 0191 Wrong expiry date
- 0195 Requires SCA authentication. The double authentication (SMS, bank app, etc.) could not be completed, try another card or PayPal.
- 9104 Merchant with "secure holder" and holder without secure purchase key. The double authentication (SMS, bank app, etc.) could not be completed, try another card or PayPal.
- 9454 Payments with that type of card are not allowed. We do not accept AMEX, try another card.
- 9997 With the same card there are several payments "in flight" at the moment one is finalized the rest are denied with this code. This restriction is made for security. Check that the other payment has indeed been completed with your bank.
