The International Music Summit returns to Ibiza to debate about electronic music present and future on 25TH to 27TH of May. Some of the most relevant celebrities from the industry will attend the congress that will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Playa d’en Bossa. Finally, the event will move to Dalt Villa where guest will be able to enjoy an spectacular closing party.

The IMS project, founded in 2007 by Danny Whittle, Mark Netto, Ben Turner, Simeon Friend and Pete Tong, is back to Ibiza to offer a 3-days congress featuring Keynote interviews, conversations and debates about the EDM and technology innovations, all to help consolidating and improving the industry. An excellent brainstorming that will be attended by some of the leaders of the international music community, emergent companies CEO or worldwide renowned djs. The final objective is to promote Ibiza and its good image around the word.

The International Music Summit returns to Ibiza

The congress will kick off on Wednesday at 1pm with a music session by the avant-garde broadcast radio OpenLab. After warming up, the IMS Business Report will show relevant figures in order to quantify the value of the electronic music. Also on the same day, different seminars about the public that attend electronic music events in the UK and Spain or how to improve monetization of music content.

At 4.25pm it’s the time for Space Ibiza: End of an era with the owner of Space Pepe Roselló, Lyne Cosgrave, CEO Safehouse Management UK, and Carl Cox, no doubts this will be a very emotional event for all of us. It will also be the perfect moment to find out if Space will reopen its doors in another location and whether Carl Cox will finally retire or not.

On the second day, different keynote interviews and new technology projects will take place as well as seminars about the industry and artist's future in a new social network environment. To point out is the event Striving For Excelence & the Art of Playing Differently featuring Black Coffee, Guy Gerber, James Zabiela, Nicole Moudaber, Carmine Conte (Tale of Us) and Richie Hawtin who will be discussing about individuality in performance to the stage as a series of DJ’s all using varying mixer products talk about striving for excellence in how they play.

Finally, on Friday 27th, apart from more seminars, conferences and interesting interviews (The Pet Shop Boys for instance), at 11am will take place the Great Annual Ibiza Debate in its 9th edition with some of Ibiza’s most influential players such as Dubfire, Pete Tong, Matteo Milleri (Tale of Us), Jacobi Calthorpe (Housekeeping), Mr C and Shauna Slevin (MD, Canopy Artists).

To end up the IMS as it deserves, the event moves to Ibiza Old Town where the closing party will bring the best electronic music by Francesca Lombardo, B. Traits, Benjamin Damage (Live), Nicole Moudaber, Tale of Us and, to top it all off, Dubfire will present HYBRID in Ibiza.

Record of assistance is expected in this 9th edition that consolidates the event as one of the most important congress in the electronic music industry around the world.
