Oh no, oh no! It's closing party time in Ibiza and although we are sad to see the end of another epic season, it's also an exciting time for all of the parties to showcase the very best artists, music, production and more. This summer, Nic Fanciulli welcomed his brand new party concept DANCE OR DIE to Ushuaïa Ibiza. After 11 triumphant weeks of non-stop grooving, we chose to DANCE for a final time at the closing extravaganza last night.
Hoping to attract as large of a crowd as the opening party, Carl Cox returned for round 2 alongside frontman Nic Fanciulli, Cassy, Alex Kennon and Brina Knauss - it went OFF! Oh yes oh yes!
As we entered the impressive open-air superclub on Wednesday 25 September, immediately, we were hit with bouncy closing party vibes. Contrary to the opening the sun had set earlier, the stage illuminated in the darkness and lasers were already slashing through the crowd. By 20:00, King Coxy was back behind the decks and the night descended into one enormous and exuberant party.
In keeping with the theme, the soundtrack for this event included a mixture of house music and disco remixes, funky basslines, dance anthems and a carnival-like percussive rhythm. Of course, the masterminds did provide some tasty techno but tonight it was all about lively vibes, up-lifting vocal cuts and euphoric partying.
"Oh Yes, Oh Yes! Ushuaïa how are you feeling? Dance or Die Closing Party, Nic Fanciulli, LET'S GO!" - Carl Cox encouraged the crowd woo's with his legendary status and mic shoutouts. As we looked around, everybody was smiling and with hands in the air.
Whether you were lucky enough to have attended and want to relive unforgettable dancefloor moments or you regretfully missed out and feeling nosy enough to see what all of the hype is about, check out Clubtickets top tracks from the evening. Enjoy.
Finally, we advise you to keep an ear out for Martin Ikin's latest release 'Hooked'. This tune is unreleased, so the link is unavailable. With already thousands of shazam requests for this tune, you will undoubtedly remember or have heard this track over the summer in Ibiza. It's ridiculously catchy!
Thank you Dance or Die, it's been a pleasure partying with you in 2019.
