Bigger you say? Different? Some place you've never parties before? How about this: A 176-acre former military outpost, off limits to the public for 200 years. Smack between Wall Street and Brooklyn, Governors Island is a landmark, a national park and uncharted territory for electronic music and its fans.

The massive space is the focus of a slew of development initiatives, including ones to bring art and music to its shores. New York bought it from the national government in 2003 for $1: Be there when Victor Calderone claims it in the name of techno.
