More Gibson Hall parties

If you lived in the Victorian era and were a sociable kind of lady, it's likely your dress was unfeasibly large and left the room some time after you did. Back then, baby indeed got back.

Even a glimpse of your ankle could scandalise but bosoms were in your face. Morality swung between prudish repression and surreptitious abandon. If tripping back to this time sounds fun then you'll enjoy attending events at City of London's impressive Gibson Hall.

After its completion in 1865 this fine example of Victorian architecture was in fact the greatest of the City's banking halls. Now it is used for banquets, balls, fashion shows, cocktail receptions, conferences and other more energetic occasions.

Party in 19th Century style with up to 600 others in the Main Hall, under spectacular chandeliers and the glazed roof domes, or in the award-winning Garden Room and associated outdoor haven, away from the bustle of the financial district.

Please note you must be 18 or over attend events at Gibson Hall
