Kinky Malinki
At Scala, United Kingdom on 5 Jul 2008
Lineup:
After May’s inaugural event at Scala, Kinky Malinki now have their feet firmly under the door and with more and more ex-Turnmills promotions setting up operations at the Kings Cross club it is now becoming clear that Scala will not only be a party destination for KM’s clubbers but for London’s revelers in general and it is Kinky Malinki that is paving the way with its careful blend of glam clubbing with a decidedly cooler edge.
Holding court at Scala will be good friends of KM and house music hit makers K Klass, who are having a significant renaissance period after creating some of the most recognizable tracks and remixes in house history.
They will be joined by someone who has been nicknamed “the hardest working man in house” and as much as some people would argue with that there is no doubt that Raymundo Rodriguez is indeed one extremely busy DJ, where he runs his own extremely successful after hours event Jaded at AKA and even runs an after, after party. Ray himself is quoted as saying he is also “the DJ that never sleeps” but rest assured sleep or no sleep, he will be stepping his game up as he plays for KM for the first time in over a year.
If all that wasn’t enough to write home about Kinky Malinki also proudly announce their return to the White Isle after a little hiatus and they return to the scene of the crime. Well if you can call throwing first class parties a crime.
As it is the wonderful port side setting of El Divino where KM find themselves teaming up with the ever colourful Kidology crew as they join forces from the 26th June to 18th September and assert themselves as a force to be reckoned with on a Thursday night on the island that never sleeps.
