There's something wickedly entertaining about partying hard in upper class surroundings. And the more established the better - Throgmortons (on Throgmorton Street, naturally) came into being at the turn of the previous century.
Over one hundred years later and the City venue still a popular place to eat, drink and be very merry. There are four rooms - the restaurant, the Long Room, the Gallery and the particularly pretty Mosaic Room. Total capacity is 500.
Decor leans towards the classic with wood paneling, comfortable sofas, chandeliers and mirrors, tho the club is fully kitted out with 21st century technology.
As ever, the music depends on the promoter, but Naughty or Nice, Feast, Subversion and others have all thrown well received parties here.
