Circus club events, which Yousef remains the figurehead behind, celebrated a decade of activity with residencies in London and New York alongside its spiritual home of Liverpool.

Circus' continuation of their London residency shows no signs of letting up as they tear into the final show of the summer with aplomb. The transplantation of the madness that defines their Liverpool parties to the capital has been a seamless undertaking, gifting the newly refurbished egg with the same core principles of ‘serious music and fun times' which has been the centrepiece for Circus in Liverpool. As that club approaches the monolithic milestone of ten years this September.

Naturally the headliner for the event is Yousef, the man who has been at the forefront of everything Circus related in the last decade. Circus' ten year landmark is one of a series of achievements that have defined his 2012, with the record label of the same name clocking up twenty releases and Yousef's sophomore artist album, ‘A product of your Environment', due for release in the autumn. A stellar international touring schedule (including a recent tour de force showing in the Orient) rounds off the constant work which maintains his status as one of the premier figures in modern dance music.

Stefano Miele - aka Riva Starr - has smashed out of the blogosphere with his unique patchwork of styles, swiftly establishing himself as one of the most unique and recognisable producer / DJ today. Riva - with his love for re-inventing any music that inspires him - has coined the term "Snatch!" to describe his very personal bootleg remix technique, snatching and pick-pocketing any music style and making it his own. Also known as "Mezcla" - the Spanish word for blending or fusion - Riva's music moves from mood to mood, genre to genre, but always leaving his cheeky, wobbly footprint.

Whenever you start to think that dance music - Techno or House or Detroit and Berlin - is better suited for elderly people, suddenly there is a silver light on the horizon.And at the moment, it is Sascha Dive who is shining really bright. This young man from Frankfurt and his label Deep Vibes Recordings is among the most promising new producers and companies in Germany at the moment who, despite
clear references to early U.S.-American sounds, all have found their very own rhythm and style by now.
