Cargo presents...Death at the Disco

At Cargo, United Kingdom on 30 Oct 2010 from 22:00

Lineup

  • Disco Bloodbath
  • Trailer Trash
  • Eric Voltar

Underneath the railway arches at Cargo the voices of a young couple can often be heard laughing and talking, but it is not possible to follow what they say. They seem to cease as soon as people cross the threshold. It disturbs no one and many have heard it but none has accounted for the voices or who the two may be. It is rumored to be the ghost of a young couple who first met and fell in love under these very arches. Returning every Halloween to see the young revelers dance, drink and fall in love just as they did those many moons ago.

To celebrate Cargo is throwing what will be one of the most spin chilling Halloween parties of the year. With the venue being completely revamped. Expect special guests and some ghostly surprises. On hand to keep you entertained in the depths of the Arches are: Disco Blood Bath, Trailer Trash and Headspace.

This promises to be a scream. So why not come down and see if you can catch a peak at the ethereal lovers for yourself.

Disco Bloodbath

Disco Bloodbath began life as an irregular speakeasy party in the basement of a Caribbean restaurant on the wrong end of East London's Amhurst Road. The party and its resident DJs quickly gained notoriety for the unique blend of raw disco, spaced-out italo, vintage house and proto-techno being played. Their skill in blending these sounds together has taken Damon Martin and Ben Pistor to some of the UK's most discerning dancefloors. Fabric, Bugged Out, Bestival, The Big Chill, Secretsundaze, Horse Meat Disco, Lovebox, The Warehouse Project and Matter have all played host to the Disco Bloodbath sound. In the last couple of years the boys have also traveled globally to gigs in Japan, Berlin, Ibiza, Paris, Croatia, Dubai, Barcelona, including sets at Snowbombing Festival, We Love at Space and Bar 25 amongst others.

Trailer Trash

TrailerTrash is the East-end rave rodeo that has defiantly stamped its filthy mark on London's underground electronic dance scene over the last 6 years. Showcasing some of the best DJ's in town since 2004 when friends, Mikki Most & Dan and Hannah Holland decided that Shoreditch badly needed a shake up, and the legendary Friday night was born!

Now approaching its 6th Birthday, TrailerTrash ran as a weekly party in Shoreditch for over 5 years with residents Hannah Holland, Mikki Most & Ian Robinson playing an explosive soundtrack of electrified booty shake, jackin' techno rave, distorted disco and dirty off kilter jump-up sounds. They have now moved on to bigger parties putting on 1000-capacity warehouse events every couple of months, hosting dance stages at Festivals (inc. Lovebox 2010), hosting main rooms at clubs such as Fabric and Ministry of Sound, as well as finding time to open their own bar last year: Dalston Superstore, which has become a London institution after just 12 months.
