Polarise with Norman Jay

Come and join Polarise on Saturday the 31st July at The Lightbox for a Pre-Carnival warm up with Norman Jay MBE.

With the peak of summer approaching, and Notting Hill Carnival just around the corner, we'll be joined by one of the world's finest and most respected DJs. Decorated in 2002 with an MBE for his services to music, he is Good Times Soundsystem's top man and undisputed King Of The Carnival.

The International, World Famous DJ we know today, started out in Notting Hill, DJing from the age of 8. Influenced by an array of styles including Jazz, Blu Beat and Ska. Along the way he's played illegal warehouse parties, been a pioneer on the then pirate radio station Kiss FM and had many a successful release.

These days, the Mix Mag Top 100 DJ's services are very much sought after. His list of clientele includes Prince, Mick Jagger, George Michael and Jay Kay from Jamiroquai to name but a few.

We don't need to tell you any more about what the man is about or what he can do, but we can tell you this is going to be one hell of a party and no expense has been spared.

Also joining us is special guest Nathan C. The DJ/Producer is having huge success at the moment with massive releases on Cr2, Stealth, Spinnin and Starlight Records. He is one half of Tastemakers, Soulmakers and E.P.I.C.

As usual, residents DJ Lewi (Check out new E.P on Funkin You Records), Lex, John Stevens, Richard Phillips and Eddie George will be joined by a host of local talent including Sons Of Audio, Grant Simms, Dom Chevez, House Prophets, Zee Ziggy, Temps & Neviks and Dapps Da Dred.
