Bedlam's 1st Birthday

It's been nearly a year since Bedlam first arrived on the scene with a bang back in 2009.

With world-renowned dj/producer Tim Green as resident, Bedlam parties were always going to be a special events. It has proved to be one of the most successful new nights devoted to house and techno in the country over the past year, bringing world renowned artists like Mandy & Martin Buttrich to the hungry clubbers of Kent. Now Bedlam is back with its biggest party yet to celebrate its landmark 1st Birthday. Get ready for Bedlam¹s 1st Birthday to blow your mind, with a dj line up as good as you will find in any club on the planet. After much talk we are hugely proud to announce our massive headline acts, Matthias Tanzmann & Lee Burridge!

This time Bedlam are hugely proud to announce that this event will take place at the mind blowing venue that is The Tunnel. Part of Fort Horsted in Chatham, The Tunnel is a Napoleonic Fortress, so perfect for a party, it's almost as if it was built for this purpose! Expect the atmosphere to be so electric inside this party that you will never want to leave!

Matthias Tanzmann is without doubt one of the most exciting talents to emerge in electronic music over the past 10 years. His blend of hypnotic driving house music, and the energy that he brings to the crowd when he steps in front of the decks is quite simply breathtaking. His residency for Circo Loco @ DC10 is the stuff of legend, playing week in week out at the most infamous club night on the planet. Add to that the success of his label Moon Harbour Records, which over the past 10 years has released some of the most important records in house music, and its not hard to see why Matthias is now one of the most in demand djs in the world. His dj schedule reads like a who¹s who of modern day house and techno music, playing at all the best parties on a weekly basis right across the globe. This is a landmark booking for Kent, and we are privileged to be welcoming Matthias Tanzmann to headline Bedlam¹s 1st Birthday!

Lee Burridge is quite simply a legend in the UK house and techno scene. From humble beginnings, to being voted number 10 in DJ Mags top100 dj poll, its been a rollercoaster ride for Mr Burridge since his first forays into djing as a teenager. Emerging in the late 90¹s after many years djing in Asia, Lee¹s talents were brought to the fore when he formed the Tyrant clubs nights with Sasha & Craig Richards. Those crazy Tyrant parties are still talked about to this day. His residencies at legendary venues like Fabric, Avalon in Hollywood, Tenax in Italy & Womb in Tokyo have have followed on from hugely successful compilations for Global Underground, Balance and more. Put simply Burridge is one of the most gifted djs to ever walk the face of the earth, and on May 15th @ Bedlam¹s 1st Birthday he will show you exactly why this is!!!!

Rounding things off Bedlam resident & local hero Tim Green returns back to Kent for a homecoming gig. Having toured the globe, and released music with Cocoon, Get Physical, Dirtybird and many more of the worlds top labels over the past 3 years, Its not hard to see why so many people are saying that Mr. Green is the most exciting talent to emerge from the UK house and techno scene in the past few years. Anyone who has seen Mr. Green in action at any of Bedlam's previous events will no doubt agree! To finish things off Bedlam recruits two of the most talented local djs to complete the line up. Firstly Aboutface aka Dodek will be performing a rare live show for the music hungry party people of Kent, whilst Alex Kilby will be getting the party started with his unique brand of quality deep house music!

So one of the finest lines up of house and techno artists ever assembled, for a party in a Napoleonic Fortress that will blow your mind, for the birthday of one of the hottest new nights in the country. Bring it on!
