Ministry of Sound Live

The countdown to Ministry of Sound Live, the biggest NYE party to take place in Europe, has been ticking in anticipation for the past four weeks since the event was announced in September with its all star line up including Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Dave Spoon and Example. Now Ministry of Sound and AEG Live are excited to announce the addition of two more acts to this spectacular event - Justice and Plump DJs, plus a live BBC Radio 1 broadcast from the stroke of midnight.

For their first UK performance in over a year, Justice are a multi Grammy nominated French electronic music duo consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, acclaimed for their originality and prowess for production, remixing and the strong rock influence that they bring to their music, image and jaw dropping performances. This will be a rare opportunity to experience this duo in such an impressive venue accompanied by a state-of-the-art visual show and soundsystem.

Another DJ duo has also been added to the bill, Plump DJs, London based production and DJ partners Lee Rous and Andy Gardner whose energetic, quirky productions and skilful, pounding DJ sets have acquired a loyal and admiring fan base the world over.

This event will also be captured by the nations most popular youth station BBC Radio 1 via a live broadcast that will begin immediately after the eagerly anticipated chime of midnight through till 5am, transporting the electrifying sound and atmosphere of Justice, Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz at this magnificent event, directly into homes all across the globe.

Featuring a completely brand new production design the light show at the New Year's Eve event will be spectacular beyond belief. The O2 Arena will have two enormous PA systems installed over the two performance areas.

Built from the latest L'Acoustic K1 elements, there are over 60 massive sub-bass speakers on the arena floor and 10 hanging PA stacks. The lighting team have designed a moving truss system with six arms over the central DJ booth which will dance and react to the music and the crowd. Over 200 of the most up-to-date lighting fixtures will create stunning effects on stage and across the audience areas with the atmosphere changing throughout the night.

A custom-designed circular DJ booth in the centre of the room will be wrapped in the latest video screen technology and will feature stunning visuals that have been over 4 months in production.
