Following on from the massive success of our sell out “Hoxton Heaven/Hoxton Hell” Halloween ball, we bring you a NYE night with a difference. The theme this year is ‘Barbarella: Queen of the Discotheque’ For one night the pony will be transformed into ‘Planet Disco’ and the Space Vixen Barbarella will be paying us a visit! Décor wise we’ll be bringing you the jaw dropping awe of a science fiction adventure, coupled with the glamour of everything disco! For those of you who have seen the cult 60’s film ‘Barbarella’ with Jane Fonda you will know exactly what to expect! Those of you who haven’t imagine a vampish, bouffant haired sex kitten who roams the universe doing very rude things on each planet in an attempt to bring peace to the galaxy! The Pony will be done up as the beautiful white, silver and glitter ball laden, ice palace on Planet Disco that she will be visiting!

Music wise we are joined by Ivor Novello nominees Bodyrox. Consisting of two of the most talented and in-demand producers in the UK. Having produced one of the ‘biggest hits in electronic dance music’ [Pete Tong] in 2006 in the form of ‘Yeah Yeah’; a massive electro workout which took the WMC by storm picking up early support from Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Fergie, Dave Pearce, Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, Annie Mac, Edith Bowman, Annie Nightingale, Sarah Cox and Trophy Twins on BBC Radio One alone and went on to ‘fill every record box under the sun’ [Pete Tong].

Fancy dress is optional but this is a chance to go all out for 60s sex kitten glamour, glamorous and shiny disco villains or Sci-Fi legends! Either way – make the effort! Its NYE! This time round – those of you booking tables will receive your shared punch again – this time you’ll be presented your punch in half a disco ball!
