If there’s one thing The Flash takes pride in, it’s furnishing its native city with the most inspired and select of musical treats. And October’s headliner - Aril Brikha - is this ethos incarnate. Without doubt Scandinavia’s finest exponent of deep emotive techno – Brikha first came to the fore back in 1998, when Derrick May played the then unknown Swede’s stunning ‘Groove La Chord’. A very lucrative relationship with the legendary Transmat ensued and by the mid noughties Aril was being dubbed one of the most exciting emitters of the Detroitian sound outside of the city itself. Warm, yet icey; stripped down, yet brimming with atmosphere – Aril’s sound is one very beautiful anomaly.

Joining him in Room 1 is another lover of this US city’s grand heritage. Sebastien San came to prominence last year when his awesome ‘Rising Sun’ was picked up by Carl Craig for his Planet E imprint. Promoters and label heads everywhere were soon vying for the Frenchman’s attention; not to mention the mighty Resident Advisor who in January invited San to join its podcast elite. Epic soundscapes in bed with robotic funk makes him a truly captivating experience. Ably assisting our mouth watering Detroitapean duo is the Flash's very own encyclopedia of techno knowledge Dave Congreve – so if it’s mesmerising widescreen ear candy you’re after, Cable's infamous main room is where it’s at tonight.

Welcoming a different vibe altogether in room 2 are real life motor city residents - albeit of the German variety - Brontosaurus. As well as heading up Frankfurt’s most exciting new label of the same name, they produce and spin some of the most irresistible pre-futurstoric music in existence. Part tracky disco, part proto-house - the Brontosaurus sound throbs with a raw and twisted funk that’s so now (or is that then) it hurts. Supporting our Jurassic guests to cap off another stonking Future Flash line-up will be our very own trusty disco deviants and slo-mo savants - Sean Johnston and Matt Waites.
