It's December 2008. Party season is here. And it all leads up to one moment in time - 11.59.59 pm 31/12/2008.
After the staggering success of Poisoned Republic at Scala barely two weeks ago, the RA gang are still on a high. We, and everyone else there lucky enough to experience this awesome party, have some fantastic memories (or not, in some cases). And we can't wait to do it all again. So, we will!
For the biggest and final night of the year, Republic Artists are here to rock Clubland again by teaming up with red-hot party legends Dirty Dubbin to pretty much guarantee you one of the best nights out in the capital with their NYE Masked Ball.
So please bring along a mask. Any kind will do. Carnival masks, Batman masks, gimp masks (not recommended for drinking & snogging), even face masks (messy, but you'll look better than everyone else at 6am. Not hard though, to be fair). Remember, mysterious is sexy. Especially if you've got a head like a Chernobyl potato.
Which reminds me of our incredible DJ line-up for this night. DJ Tomasuchy will be joined again by Seano, who always rocks the house, and This is Stereo, RA's newest talent who blitzed dance floor at Scala.
Add to that Dirty Dubbin founder, promoter, producer DJ Sleazy-G, plus very special guests from Deep Infect, and you'll have 2 rooms delivering a killer mix of driving jackin house, electro and techno. And if you want it a bit harder and trancier the 3rd room line up been put together by Hidden and Frantic's legendary owner.
There's even a free pass outside to watch the fireworks along the Thames.
And because it's New Year's Eve, Republic Artists will be helping you out on the top 5 New Year's resolutions.
1. Lose weight: Feel free to try a liquid diet and appetite suppressants.
2. Get fit: 9 hours of dancing. A marathon is a mere two and a bit.
3. Find a boy/girlfriend: HELLO!! NYE party! What do you think the midnight countdown is for?
4. Stop smoking: Republic Artists DJs music is so good you won't want to leave the non-smoking dancefloor for a second.
5. Save some money: Well, it's only £20 in advance, but to be honest, it's New Year's Eve baby! We can't really help you with this one. Fuck it! Spend and enjoy!
