How long has Kinky Malinki been going??
14 years and still going strong!

How did it come about in the beginning and where did you start??
The night was started at The Imperial Gardens in South London. Myself and a promoter/DJ called Jay Friction put our heads together and come up with Kinky Malinki!

You've done parties all around the world, where have been the highlights personally??
It has to be our first party at matter in London in February 2009. This event sold out with five days to go and was amazing party! 3200 people attended!

What do you see the key to still being so successful & still going after all these years??
Keeping things fresh and always booking new talent.

Do you still get as nervous and or stressed as you used to, having done the parties for so long, does it get easier??
In the lead up to a big party I'm always stressed as there always seems to be a million things to do before doors open! Its a great feeling once the club hits capacity and everyone is inside enjoying the party!

You've started Kinky Malinki record label, how has that been going??
It a little stop-start at the moment as we have been focusing on our album releases, although we are hoping to get the label fully up and running again this year!

This weekend you have the Kinky Malinki Valentines Party at Proud2, has the venue changed much since it was Matter??
Its been made even bigger! That doesn't sound possible (if you have been to the venue, you will know what I mean!). But the main floor has increased in size and the outside terrace is pretty special! Its London's biggest superclub and this Saturday were expecting to hit capacity numbers.

What can people expect from the party this weekend where you have the spanish New Iberican League playing??
I'm really excited to have The New Iberican League (DJ Chus, David Penn & Abel Ramos) all playing together. They put on an amazing show and this booking is a first for London! We have been hosting our Valentines Party at The 02 venue for the last three years and every event has been a sell out.

What else have you got coming up we should know about??
More of the same in London, at Ministry of Sound, Proud2 and Pacha. The summer has some really exciting projects, one being a residency at Papaya Club, Pag Island, Croatia. The line ups are pretty good too, with Bingo Players, Joachim Garraud, TV Rock and Alex Kenji + more still to be announced!
