After the release of his fourth studio album, Kaleidoscope, which marked a move away from his previous trance releases, to a more mainstream and commercial House sound, DJ Tiesto, has been seeking new challenges in his career. Since 2007, Tiesto has made Privilege his Ibiza home, ensuring that his Monday night residency, became the flagship party for the San Rafel Club. Only in the last year has the Dutch born artist performed outside of Privilege, appearing at Ushuaia, for one of their outdoor, daytime parties. That appearance at Ushuaia, has led to speculation that Tiesto may now leave Privilege and headline for another Ibiza club in 2012.
Well informed sources in Ibiza are whispering that Tiesto may now be in talks with Pacha to fill the Monday night slot left vacant by the departure of Swedish House Mafia last November. Tiesto's legions of loyal fans would easily sell out the Pacha club, which has a capacity of 3500, compared to the 10000 at Privilege. VIP tickets are now becoming a popular choice for clubbers visiting any of the seven weekly parties at Pacha and the club has enlarged its VIP areas to cater for the increase in demand. Tiesto is sure to pack them into Pacha with his new house and electro inspired sound, which is now compatible to the Pacha Brand.
The Ibiza Clubs are gradually beginning to release their DJ rosters and calenders for the 2012 season, so confirmation of where Tiesto will play next summer, should be available in the next few weeks. At present we are hearing that it will be Tiesto at Pacha on Mondays, Swedish House Mafia at Privilege on Mondays and some Ushuaia Wednesday dates. These dates and venues have yet to be confirmed but full details and news of ticket prices are expected soon.
