MiMo presents: A night for 'Help For Heroes' with Simon Baker, Richy Ahmed, Miguel Campbell & more

MiMo is one of London’s finest purveyors of Underground House Music, having hosted parties in warehouses and cool venues across the capital and beyond over the last 5 years. Thursday 16th February see's them hosting a party in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’ and ‘Troop Aid’ charities, with DJs of the calibre of Simon Baker, Richy Ahmed, Miguel Campbell, Rob Mello, Darius Syrossian, Shur I Kan, Stuart Patterson and more all waving their DJ fee’s in aid of the cause. These guys between them have racked up releases on some of the scenes biggest labels including Hot Creations, 2020 Vision, Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Viva Music, 8bit & Freerange to name a few!

Not only for a great cause, this party has some real meaning behind it. Tim Jones, the younger brother of Chris Jones (Chris MiMo - owner and main resident of MiMo), was recently very badly injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) whilst on patrol in Afghanistan. Another member of his patrol was killed by the explosion, while several more were badly injured. Tim was very lucky to survive and now is on the long road to recovery with severe injuries to his left leg. Despite his injuries Tim has remained positive and wants to get back to the army and continue in the job he loves.

Help for Heroes is a charity set up on 2007 to help provide improved facilities for British servicemen and women wounded in action. Troop Aid Charity supplies injured troops with the ‘basic essentials’ on their return to the UK from serving overseas, as their personal effects and clothing very often don’t get transported back with them.

The intimate ‘East Village’ in London’s Shoreditch (nearest tube Old Street) will be the location for this big night. Funk & Disco will be the sounds of upstairs, while down in the basement it’ll be all about underground house all night.

All the money raised on the night will go to both ‘Help for Heroes’ & ‘Troop Aid’. There’s no door fee, but a minimum £5 donation is requested on entry.
