The Opening Parties are one of Ibiza's busiest periods, with over 25.000 dedicated clubbers resident on the Island. Es Paradis must feel, that a move away from the traditional Opening Party weekend, to a stand alone date, is a better option for them. Last season, Es Paradis opened in conjunction with the other clubs but in 2009 and 2010, they opted for a similar, early, stand alone date. The first Ibiza Club to open its doors for the summer season. Pablo Rodriguez, communications manager of Es Paradis, confirmed that the "full line up for the Opening Party would be released in the next few weeks".
Based in the larger resort of San Antonio, its easier for Es Paradis to open earlier, due to a stronger customer base at that time of year. The Es Paradis Fiesta Del Agua Opening, is a popular party with the locals and its a chance for them to let their hair down before the busy season starts the following weekend. The Fiesta Del Agua party has local flair and character in abundance. It is a combination of a Spanish Fiesta and a clubbing event, with more emphasis on looking good and dancing, which is to predominately House music. The highlight of the party is the spraying of 5000 litres of water, over a hot and sweaty crowd as the party reaches its crescendo.
It makes for an exhilarating experience, as the water cascades down over the crowd, with a huge cheer of expectation. Most people bring a change of clothes and a towel, which can be left in a locker inside the club. Doors open at one minute before midnight on Friday the 18th of May 2012 and tickets for the Fiesta Del Aqua party sell out fast so it is advisable to purchase as early as possible. As one of the Islands most admired and beautiful clubs, it is fitting that Es Paradis, will have the ribbon cutting honour for the 2012 Summer Club Season in Ibiza.
